  46. Creative Commons Corporation ("Creative Commons") is not a law firm and
  47. does not provide legal services or legal advice. Distribution of
  48. Creative Commons public licenses does not create a lawyer-client or
  49. other relationship. Creative Commons makes its licenses and related
  50. information available on an "as-is" basis. Creative Commons gives no
  51. warranties regarding its licenses, any material licensed under their
  52. terms and conditions, or any related information. Creative Commons
  53. disclaims all liability for damages resulting from their use to the
  54. fullest extent possible.
  55. Using Creative Commons Public Licenses
  56. Creative Commons public licenses provide a standard set of terms and
  57. conditions that creators and other rights holders may use to share
  58. original works of authorship and other material subject to copyright
  59. and certain other rights specified in the public license below. The
  60. following considerations are for informational purposes only, are not
  61. exhaustive, and do not form part of our licenses.
  62. Considerations for licensors: Our public licenses are
  63. intended for use by those authorized to give the public
  64. permission to use material in ways otherwise restricted by
  65. copyright and certain other rights. Our licenses are
  66. irrevocable. Licensors should read and understand the terms
  67. and conditions of the license they choose before applying it.
  68. Licensors should also secure all rights necessary before
  69. applying our licenses so that the public can reuse the
  70. material as expected. Licensors should clearly mark any
  71. material not subject to the license. This includes other CC-
  72. licensed material, or material used under an exception or
  73. limitation to copyright. More considerations for licensors:
  74. wiki.creativecommons.org/Considerations_for_licensors
  75. Considerations for the public: By using one of our public
  76. licenses, a licensor grants the public permission to use the
  77. licensed material under specified terms and conditions. If
  78. the licensor's permission is not necessary for any reason--for
  79. example, because of any applicable exception or limitation to
  80. copyright--then that use is not regulated by the license. Our
  81. licenses grant only permissions under copyright and certain
  82. other rights that a licensor has authority to grant. Use of
  83. the licensed material may still be restricted for other
  84. reasons, including because others have copyright or other
  85. rights in the material. A licensor may make special requests,
  86. such as asking that all changes be marked or described.
  87. Although not required by our licenses, you are encouraged to
  88. respect those requests where reasonable. More_considerations
  89. for the public:

  91. =======================================================================
  92. Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License
  93. By exercising the Licensed Rights (defined below), You accept and agree
  94. to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Creative Commons
  95. Attribution 4.0 International Public License ("Public License"). To the
  96. extent this Public License may be interpreted as a contract, You are
  97. granted the Licensed Rights in consideration of Your acceptance of
  98. these terms and conditions, and the Licensor grants You such rights in
  99. consideration of benefits the Licensor receives from making the
  100. Licensed Material available under these terms and conditions.
  101. Section 1 -- Definitions.
  102. a. Adapted Material means material subject to Copyright and Similar
  103. Rights that is derived from or based upon the Licensed Material
  104. and in which the Licensed Material is translated, altered,
  105. arranged, transformed, or otherwise modified in a manner requiring
  106. permission under the Copyright and Similar Rights held by the
  107. Licensor. For purposes of this Public License, where the Licensed
  108. Material is a musical work, performance, or sound recording,
  109. Adapted Material is always produced where the Licensed Material is
  110. synched in timed relation with a moving image.
  111. b. Adapter's License means the license You apply to Your Copyright
  112. and Similar Rights in Your contributions to Adapted Material in
  113. accordance with the terms and conditions of this Public License.
  114. c. Copyright and Similar Rights means copyright and/or similar rights
  115. closely related to copyright including, without limitation,
  116. performance, broadcast, sound recording, and Sui Generis Database
  117. Rights, without regard to how the rights are labeled or
  118. categorized. For purposes of this Public License, the rights
  119. specified in Section 2(b)(1)-(2) are not Copyright and Similar
  120. Rights.
  121. d. Effective Technological Measures means those measures that, in the
  122. absence of proper authority, may not be circumvented under laws
  123. fulfilling obligations under Article 11 of the WIPO Copyright
  124. Treaty adopted on December 20, 1996, and/or similar international
  125. agreements.
  126. e. Exceptions and Limitations means fair use, fair dealing, and/or
  127. any other exception or limitation to Copyright and Similar Rights
  128. that applies to Your use of the Licensed Material.
  129. f. Licensed Material means the artistic or literary work, database,
  130. or other material to which the Licensor applied this Public
  131. License.
  132. g. Licensed Rights means the rights granted to You subject to the
  133. terms and conditions of this Public License, which are limited to
  134. all Copyright and Similar Rights that apply to Your use of the
  135. Licensed Material and that the Licensor has authority to license.
  136. h. Licensor means the individual(s) or entity(ies) granting rights
  137. under this Public License.
  138. i. Share means to provide material to the public by any means or
  139. process that requires permission under the Licensed Rights, such
  140. as reproduction, public display, public performance, distribution,
  141. dissemination, communication, or importation, and to make material
  142. available to the public including in ways that members of the
  143. public may access the material from a place and at a time
  144. individually chosen by them.
  145. j. Sui Generis Database Rights means rights other than copyright
  146. resulting from Directive 96/9/EC of the European Parliament and of
  147. the Council of 11 March 1996 on the legal protection of databases,
  148. as amended and/or succeeded, as well as other essentially
  149. equivalent rights anywhere in the world.
  150. k. You means the individual or entity exercising the Licensed Rights
  151. under this Public License. Your has a corresponding meaning.
  152. Section 2 -- Scope.
  153. a. License grant.
  154. 1. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Public License,
  155. the Licensor hereby grants You a worldwide, royalty-free,
  156. non-sublicensable, non-exclusive, irrevocable license to
  157. exercise the Licensed Rights in the Licensed Material to:
  158. a. reproduce and Share the Licensed Material, in whole or
  159. in part; and
  160. b. produce, reproduce, and Share Adapted Material.
  161. 2. Exceptions and Limitations. For the avoidance of doubt, where
  162. Exceptions and Limitations apply to Your use, this Public
  163. License does not apply, and You do not need to comply with
  164. its terms and conditions.
  165. 3. Term. The term of this Public License is specified in Section
  166. 6(a).
  167. 4. Media and formats; technical modifications allowed. The
  168. Licensor authorizes You to exercise the Licensed Rights in
  169. all media and formats whether now known or hereafter created,
  170. and to make technical modifications necessary to do so. The
  171. Licensor waives and/or agrees not to assert any right or
  172. authority to forbid You from making technical modifications
  173. necessary to exercise the Licensed Rights, including
  174. technical modifications necessary to circumvent Effective
  175. Technological Measures. For purposes of this Public License,
  176. simply making modifications authorized by this Section 2(a)
  177. (4) never produces Adapted Material.
  178. 5. Downstream recipients.
  179. a. Offer from the Licensor -- Licensed Material. Every
  180. recipient of the Licensed Material automatically
  181. receives an offer from the Licensor to exercise the
  182. Licensed Rights under the terms and conditions of this
  183. Public License.
  184. b. No downstream restrictions. You may not offer or impose
  185. any additional or different terms or conditions on, or
  186. apply any Effective Technological Measures to, the
  187. Licensed Material if doing so restricts exercise of the
  188. Licensed Rights by any recipient of the Licensed
  189. Material.
  190. 6. No endorsement. Nothing in this Public License constitutes or
  191. may be construed as permission to assert or imply that You
  192. are, or that Your use of the Licensed Material is, connected
  193. with, or sponsored, endorsed, or granted official status by,
  194. the Licensor or others designated to receive attribution as
  195. provided in Section 3(a)(1)(A)(i).
  196. b. Other rights.
  197. 1. Moral rights, such as the right of integrity, are not
  198. licensed under this Public License, nor are publicity,
  199. privacy, and/or other similar personality rights; however, to
  200. the extent possible, the Licensor waives and/or agrees not to
  201. assert any such rights held by the Licensor to the limited
  202. extent necessary to allow You to exercise the Licensed
  203. Rights, but not otherwise.
  204. 2. Patent and trademark rights are not licensed under this
  205. Public License.
  206. 3. To the extent possible, the Licensor waives any right to
  207. collect royalties from You for the exercise of the Licensed
  208. Rights, whether directly or through a collecting society
  209. under any voluntary or waivable statutory or compulsory
  210. licensing scheme. In all other cases the Licensor expressly
  211. reserves any right to collect such royalties.
  212. Section 3 -- License Conditions.
  213. Your exercise of the Licensed Rights is expressly made subject to the
  214. following conditions.
  215. a. Attribution.
  216. 1. If You Share the Licensed Material (including in modified
  217. form), You must:
  218. a. retain the following if it is supplied by the Licensor
  219. with the Licensed Material:
  220. i. identification of the creator(s) of the Licensed
  221. Material and any others designated to receive
  222. attribution, in any reasonable manner requested by
  223. the Licensor (including by pseudonym if
  224. designated);
  225. ii. a copyright notice;
  226. iii. a notice that refers to this Public License;
  227. iv. a notice that refers to the disclaimer of
  228. warranties;
  229. v. a URI or hyperlink to the Licensed Material to the
  230. extent reasonably practicable;
  231. b. indicate if You modified the Licensed Material and
  232. retain an indication of any previous modifications; and
  233. c. indicate the Licensed Material is licensed under this
  234. Public License, and include the text of, or the URI or
  235. hyperlink to, this Public License.
  236. 2. You may satisfy the conditions in Section 3(a)(1) in any
  237. reasonable manner based on the medium, means, and context in
  238. which You Share the Licensed Material. For example, it may be
  239. reasonable to satisfy the conditions by providing a URI or
  240. hyperlink to a resource that includes the required
  241. information.
  242. 3. If requested by the Licensor, You must remove any of the
  243. information required by Section 3(a)(1)(A) to the extent
  244. reasonably practicable.
  245. 4. If You Share Adapted Material You produce, the Adapter's
  246. License You apply must not prevent recipients of the Adapted
  247. Material from complying with this Public License.
  248. Section 4 -- Sui Generis Database Rights.
  249. Where the Licensed Rights include Sui Generis Database Rights that
  250. apply to Your use of the Licensed Material:
  251. a. for the avoidance of doubt, Section 2(a)(1) grants You the right
  252. to extract, reuse, reproduce, and Share all or a substantial
  253. portion of the contents of the database;
  254. b. if You include all or a substantial portion of the database
  255. contents in a database in which You have Sui Generis Database
  256. Rights, then the database in which You have Sui Generis Database
  257. Rights (but not its individual contents) is Adapted Material; and
  258. c. You must comply with the conditions in Section 3(a) if You Share
  259. all or a substantial portion of the contents of the database.
  260. For the avoidance of doubt, this Section 4 supplements and does not
  261. replace Your obligations under this Public License where the Licensed
  262. Rights include other Copyright and Similar Rights.
  263. Section 5 -- Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability.
  264. a. UNLESS OTHERWISE SEPARATELY UNDERTAKEN BY THE LICENSOR, TO THE
  265. EXTENT POSSIBLE, THE LICENSOR OFFERS THE LICENSED MATERIAL AS-IS
  266. AND AS-AVAILABLE, AND MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF
  267. ANY KIND CONCERNING THE LICENSED MATERIAL, WHETHER EXPRESS,
  268. IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHER. THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION,
  269. WARRANTIES OF TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
  270. PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ABSENCE OF LATENT OR OTHER DEFECTS,
  271. ACCURACY, OR THE PRESENCE OR ABSENCE OF ERRORS, WHETHER OR NOT
  272. KNOWN OR DISCOVERABLE. WHERE DISCLAIMERS OF WARRANTIES ARE NOT
  273. ALLOWED IN FULL OR IN PART, THIS DISCLAIMER MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
  274. b. TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE, IN NO EVENT WILL THE LICENSOR BE LIABLE
  275. TO YOU ON ANY LEGAL THEORY (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION,
  276. NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE FOR ANY DIRECT, SPECIAL, INDIRECT,
  277. INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, OR OTHER LOSSES,
  278. COSTS, EXPENSES, OR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THIS PUBLIC LICENSE OR
  279. USE OF THE LICENSED MATERIAL, EVEN IF THE LICENSOR HAS BEEN
  280. ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSSES, COSTS, EXPENSES, OR
  281. DAMAGES. WHERE A LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IS NOT ALLOWED IN FULL OR
  282. IN PART, THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
  283. c. The disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability provided
  284. above shall be interpreted in a manner that, to the extent
  285. possible, most closely approximates an absolute disclaimer and
  286. waiver of all liability.
  287. Section 6 -- Term and Termination.
  288. a. This Public License applies for the term of the Copyright and
  289. Similar Rights licensed here. However, if You fail to comply with
  290. this Public License, then Your rights under this Public License
  291. terminate automatically.
  292. b. Where Your right to use the Licensed Material has terminated under
  293. Section 6(a), it reinstates:
  294. 1. automatically as of the date the violation is cured, provided
  295. it is cured within 30 days of Your discovery of the
  296. violation; or
  297. 2. upon express reinstatement by the Licensor.
  298. For the avoidance of doubt, this Section 6(b) does not affect any
  299. right the Licensor may have to seek remedies for Your violations
  300. of this Public License.
  301. c. For the avoidance of doubt, the Licensor may also offer the
  302. Licensed Material under separate terms or conditions or stop
  303. distributing the Licensed Material at any time; however, doing so
  304. will not terminate this Public License.
  305. d. Sections 1, 5, 6, 7, and 8 survive termination of this Public
  306. License.
  307. Section 7 -- Other Terms and Conditions.
  308. a. The Licensor shall not be bound by any additional or different
  309. terms or conditions communicated by You unless expressly agreed.
  310. b. Any arrangements, understandings, or agreements regarding the
  311. Licensed Material not stated herein are separate from and
  312. independent of the terms and conditions of this Public License.
  313. Section 8 -- Interpretation.
  314. a. For the avoidance of doubt, this Public License does not, and
  315. shall not be interpreted to, reduce, limit, restrict, or impose
  316. conditions on any use of the Licensed Material that could lawfully
  317. be made without permission under this Public License.
  318. b. To the extent possible, if any provision of this Public License is
  319. deemed unenforceable, it shall be automatically reformed to the
  320. minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. If the provision
  321. cannot be reformed, it shall be severed from this Public License
  322. without affecting the enforceability of the remaining terms and
  323. conditions.
  324. c. No term or condition of this Public License will be waived and no
  325. failure to comply consented to unless expressly agreed to by the
  326. Licensor.
  327. d. Nothing in this Public License constitutes or may be interpreted
  328. as a limitation upon, or waiver of, any privileges and immunities
  329. that apply to the Licensor or You, including from the legal
  330. processes of any jurisdiction or authority.
  331. =======================================================================
  332. Creative Commons is not a party to its public

  334. its public licenses to material it publishes and in those instances

  336. public licenses is dedicated to the public domain under the CC0 Public

  448. https-proxy-agent
  449. ================
  450. ### An HTTP(s) proxy `http.Agent` implementation for HTTPS
  451. [![Build Status](https://github.com/TooTallNate/node-https-proxy-agent/workflows/Node%20CI/badge.svg)](https://github.com/TooTallNate/node-https-proxy-agent/actions?workflow=Node+CI)
  452. This module provides an `http.Agent` implementation that connects to a specified
  453. HTTP or HTTPS proxy server, and can be used with the built-in `https` module.
  454. Specifically, this `Agent` implementation connects to an intermediary "proxy"
  455. server and issues the [CONNECT HTTP method][CONNECT], which tells the proxy to
  456. open a direct TCP connection to the destination server.
  457. Since this agent implements the CONNECT HTTP method, it also works with other
  458. protocols that use this method when connecting over proxies (i.e. WebSockets).
  459. See the "Examples" section below for more.
  460. Installation
  461. ------------
  462. Install with `npm`:
  463. ``` bash
  464. $ npm install https-proxy-agent
  465. ```
  466. Examples
  467. --------
  468. #### `https` module example
  469. ``` js
  470. var url = require('url');
  471. var https = require('https');
  472. var HttpsProxyAgent = require('https-proxy-agent');
  473. // HTTP/HTTPS proxy to connect to
  474. var proxy = process.env.http_proxy || 'http://168.63.76.32:3128';
  475. console.log('using proxy server %j', proxy);
  476. // HTTPS endpoint for the proxy to connect to
  477. var endpoint = process.argv[2] || 'https://graph.facebook.com/tootallnate';
  478. console.log('attempting to GET %j', endpoint);
  479. var options = url.parse(endpoint);
  480. // create an instance of the `HttpsProxyAgent` class with the proxy server information
  481. var agent = new HttpsProxyAgent(proxy);
  482. options.agent = agent;
  483. https.get(options, function (res) {
  484. console.log('"response" event!', res.headers);
  485. res.pipe(process.stdout);
  486. });
  487. ```
  488. #### `ws` WebSocket connection example
  489. ``` js
  490. var url = require('url');
  491. var WebSocket = require('ws');
  492. var HttpsProxyAgent = require('https-proxy-agent');
  493. // HTTP/HTTPS proxy to connect to
  494. var proxy = process.env.http_proxy || 'http://168.63.76.32:3128';
  495. console.log('using proxy server %j', proxy);
  496. // WebSocket endpoint for the proxy to connect to
  497. var endpoint = process.argv[2] || 'ws://echo.websocket.org';
  498. var parsed = url.parse(endpoint);
  499. console.log('attempting to connect to WebSocket %j', endpoint);
  500. // create an instance of the `HttpsProxyAgent` class with the proxy server information
  501. var options = url.parse(proxy);
  502. var agent = new HttpsProxyAgent(options);
  503. // finally, initiate the WebSocket connection
  504. var socket = new WebSocket(endpoint, { agent: agent });
  505. socket.on('open', function () {
  506. console.log('"open" event!');
  507. socket.send('hello world');
  508. });
  509. socket.on('message', function (data, flags) {
  510. console.log('"message" event! %j %j', data, flags);
  511. socket.close();
  512. });
  513. ```
  514. API
  515. ---
  516. ### new HttpsProxyAgent(Object options)
  517. The `HttpsProxyAgent` class implements an `http.Agent` subclass that connects
  518. to the specified "HTTP(s) proxy server" in order to proxy HTTPS and/or WebSocket
  519. requests. This is achieved by using the [HTTP `CONNECT` method][CONNECT].
  520. The `options` argument may either be a string URI of the proxy server to use, or an
  521. "options" object with more specific properties:
  522. * `host` - String - Proxy host to connect to (may use `hostname` as well). Required.
  523. * `port` - Number - Proxy port to connect to. Required.
  524. * `protocol` - String - If `https:`, then use TLS to connect to the proxy.
  525. * `headers` - Object - Additional HTTP headers to be sent on the HTTP CONNECT method.
  526. * Any other options given are passed to the `net.connect()`/`tls.connect()` functions.
